The TAL 2020 conference, coming 20 February: all about the leading players in digitalisation

  • 11/12/2019

Integrated supply chains, automated processes and flexible manufacturing: digitalisation is fundamentally changing how automotive manufacturers and suppliers operate. The manufacturing cycle for new vehicles is shortening, and products are becoming more complex, with rising variability. All this demands modern logistics and manufacturing – as well as integrated software solutions.

Precisely these topics will be the focus at Aimtec’s next Trends in Automotive Logistics (TAL) conference. Very soon – on February 20, 2020 – the experts will be arriving in Pilsen to discuss how companies can face the challenges of global competition by digitalising their processes, and how to use digitalisation to stay profitable and productive.

The main topics at this conference, co-organised by Aimtec and IHK Regensburg for Upper Palatinate / Kelheim, will be tomorrow’s manufacturing and logistics, the tools for a digital transformation and how to integrate automation and cloud solutions into digitalisation projects and methods. Examples from practice will show how manufacturers and suppliers from both inside and outside of automotive are dealing with the changes brought by Industry 4.0.

“The TAL Conference is a popular one among the experts. We are glad to be organising its 20th year in 2020. We wish to bring its participants new trends, information on technologies and examples from practice,” says Roman Žák, chairman of the board at Aimtec. “We expect attendance by over 200 experts in manufacturing, logistics and IT from the Czech and European automotive industries, who will all have a chance to share their ideas and their specific methods and discuss how to approach a digital transformation,” he adds.

TAL 2020’s main partners are Deloitte and Zebra Technologies. Donovan Spronk (Deloitte) says of this conference: “We are pleased to be able to support TAL 2020 and present its participants with our solution for the digital factory of the future. After all, we as well must address digitalisation and automation issues with our clients ever more often. This is why we’ll be presenting practical examples of integrating artificial intelligence into manufacturing processes, including machine-learning tools, analytical tools and the use of augmented reality.”

This year’s conference partners are: Bayern Innovativ, Beratungsbüro Oberpfalz, Desseq.eu, the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce, LINTECH, Omron, the Pilsen Region, SAP ČR, and ZF OPENMATICS. This year’s media partners are: AIMagazine, Logistika, Svět průmyslu and Systémy Logistiky.
