Manufacturing data collection and advanced logistics processes management at a packaging manufacturer

Coveris is a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of packaging solutions and film-wrapping technologies. Its European Coveris Rigid Packaging division is headquartered in Germany and has 29 manufacturing plants. In 2012, Aimtec deployed DCIx WMS and MES systems at its plant in Ravensburg, Germany. In 2014 and 2015, the solution was rolled out to three plants in France. The main purpose of this DCIx deployment was to increase the productivity of manufacturing machines and to monitor the work of manufacturing equipment. The customer also required effective management of key logistics processes.
