PLASTIKA is a Czech manufacturer of plastic parts and components primarily for the automotive and electrical engineering industries. It supplies these parts to companies worldwide. It has been using the WMS within DCIx for a number of years, along with manual barcode scanners. At one of its warehouses, it eventually introduced VNA vehicles with manual control for use in very narrow aisles.
During the latest modernisation and the merging of all its warehouses into one, it also installed a roller conveyor from TMT and new Jungheinreich warehouse technologies. And all these technologies are integrated and controlled by Aimtec’s DCIx digitalisation platform. An EDI communication solution serves for integration with Plastika’s customers, JIT/JIS manages its deliveries to customers and the MES within DCIx handles data collection.
