At the 40+ production lines of Panasonic Automotive Systems in the Czech town of Pardubice, over 700 models of car radios and other audio equipment are produced for leading global automakers. The manufacturing process is fairly complicated, and there were also long-term problems with evenly distributing the company’s capacities. The solution lay in the deployment of an Asprova Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) system. Aimtec’s deployment has saved planners’ time and made the entire manufacturing process more efficient.
The next project here was quality monitoring in manufacturing. Since Panasonic works with a robust SAP system that includes a module for QMS, all that was needed was optimisation of its use. After an analysis of requirements, Aimtec opted for a solution based on its own Sappy template, which enables work with processes that have been configured specifically for automotive.
