AUMOVIO Czech Republic, known until September 2025 as the Automotive division of the Continental Group, is now an independent company that builds upon a long automotive tradition. The new warehouse at the plant in Brandýs nad Labem consolidates all its logistics processes. AUMOVIO Czech Republic has also become the first company in the nation to implement the top-rate AutoStore warehousing system, for which it received the prestigious elogistics Award in 2023.
The plant’s logistics processes were optimised end-to-end – from receipt of materials and put-away to issuing into manufacturing and onward to shipping – to maximise performance under the plant’s conditions. The Aimtec DCIx digitalisation platform plays a key role here; it centrally manages all the technologies and processes from one point, and it’s connected with SAP ERP in real time. The solution manages multiple technologies, such as semi-automatic VNA trucks, Kardex vertical lift modules (VLMs) with Pick by Light technology and the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS).
For the warehouse reorganisation, AUMOVIO relied on the data warehouse. The outputs are also visualised in 3D using a digital twin.
