Sequenced headlight deliveries under control with Aimtec DCIx

JIPOCAR Group ensures sequenced deliveries of front headlights produced by Marelli Automotive Lighting Jihlava for a major German passenger car manufacturer. To manage the process, JIPOCAR uses the Aimtec DCIx digitalisation platform, specifically its JIS and WMS modules. The solution covers goods receipt, putaway, sequenced picking and loading preparation according to customer requirements.

The system helps ensure precise deliveries in the correct order, monitors right- and left-hand headlight pairing and minimises the scope for error when working with 26 production versions of the lights. Aimtec DCIx is also integrated with the automaker’s SAP system. This gives JIPOCAR control over warehouse and sequencing operations, while messages, including ASNs, are exported from the platform via the Aimtec Integration Platform, which handles message exchange through EDI.
