Uncertainty and changeability are the new reality of the automotive industry. In what ways can digitalisation, automation and artificial intelligence strengthen firms’ resilience? The Trends in Automotive Logistics (TAL) conference will offer answers. This event will be taking place on 20 May 2025 at Parkhotel Pilsen. The event’s subtitle, “Digital. Future-Proof?” poses the question of whether it is possible to prepare today for tomorrow’s challenges – which we cannot yet even imagine. The digitalisation specialist Aimtec is ensuring efficiency and transparency for warehouse management processes at ZELTWANGER’s plant in Tübingen, Germany. Thanks to the deployment of Aimtec SCIx, an extension solution within SAP, this medium-sized company was able to achieve maximum transparency for its warehouse stocks and digitalise work processes to the fullest. This has improved the utilisation of warehouse capacities and minimised the error rate. The result is more efficient production throughput and time savings of up to 60%.

DŘEVO TRUST, a Czech wholesaler of wooden products and materials, has decided for a new collaboration with Aimtec. This project for a central hardware and slats warehouse ties in to the successful automation of the company’s flat-materials warehouse in Lipník nad Bečvou in 2019. The newly added hall was equipped with modern technologies in the form of a Kardex vertical storage system, a STILL VNA truck and a Körber ASRS. Communication with these and control of each warehouse element is handled by the Aimtec DCIx digitalisation platform. The result is increased warehouse productivity and the ability for DŘEVO TRUST to offer a broader selection to their customers.

For the first time in the firm’s history, it will not be headed by either one of its two co-founders. They are entrusting Aimtec to Pavel Boháč, an experienced manager who has so far been serving as the director of the company’s division dealing with planning and work with data.
