Standard maintenance for SAP ECC will cease at the end of 2027, and an SAP survey in the Czech Republic showed that 50% of companies keep their key systems outside the cloud. Aimtec and Consulting Company Novasoft have established a partnership in sales of the Aimtec SCIx solution. This is a configurable SAP extension that connects ERP as the core enterprise system with events on the shop floor, that is, in the warehouse, production and dispatch. This solution is available in both existing SAP ECC systems and SAP S/4HANA.

Everything has to be faster and higher-quality, and decisions must be made based on events that are yet to come.” That’s how Rostislav Schwob from Aimtec opened this year’s Trends in Automotive Logistics (TAL) conference. TAL 2026 therefore focused on how to build logistics in this kind of environment so that it is resilient, data-driven and ready for future growth. Experts from such companies as Škoda Auto, SAP, Amazon, Magna Exteriors, Shape Corp. and Noyes Technologies shared their advice and expertise on 16 June at Parkhotel Pilsen. Using concrete examples, they showed what Digital by Design looks like in practice.

JIPOCAR Group, a logistics company and 3PL provider, is using the JIS (Just in Sequence) solution within the Aimtec DCIx digitalisation platform to manage sequenced deliveries to a major German passenger car manufacturer. The system covers goods receipt, putaway and sequenced picking for selected front headlights supplied by Marelli Automotive Lighting Jihlava (Czech Republic), and ensures compliance with a key requirement – pairing of right and left headlights. Sequencing is in place for two plants in Germany.
