“The time of trends in logistics is over. What really matters today is pricing pressure. Everything has to be faster and higher-quality, and decisions must be made based on events that are yet to come.” That’s how Rostislav Schwob from Aimtec opened this year’s Trends in Automotive Logistics (TAL) conference. TAL 2026 therefore focused on how to build logistics in this kind of environment so that it is resilient, data-driven and ready for future growth. Experts from such companies as Škoda Auto, SAP, Amazon, Magna Exteriors, Shape Corp. and Noyes Technologies shared their advice and expertise on 16 June at Parkhotel Pilsen. Using concrete examples, they showed what Digital by Design looks like in practice.

JIPOCAR Group, a logistics company and 3PL provider, is using the JIS (Just in Sequence) solution within the Aimtec DCIx digitalisation platform to manage sequenced deliveries to a major German passenger car manufacturer. The system covers goods receipt, putaway and sequenced picking for selected front headlights supplied by Marelli Automotive Lighting Jihlava (Czech Republic), and ensures compliance with a key requirement – pairing of right and left headlights. Sequencing is in place for two plants in Germany. 

The digitalisation of processes has brought companies speed, accuracy and reliability – but also something even more valuable: data. Today, data is unlocking an entirely new layer of possibilities. Speakers will include experts from companies such as Škoda Auto, Amazon and Magna Exteriors.

This programming competition organised in Pilsen by Aimtec has seen its milestone tenth edition. And it stayed true to its tagline: “Helping through Code”.
